Proteus provided management and property expertise to
Medicentre, the first walk-in doctor service to be situated
in prime retail locations. Medicentre achieved significant
brand recognition in the UK by providing highly accessible
primary healthcare services, ranging from doctor consultations
to healthscreens and specialist clinics.
Proteus was responsible for expanding Medicentre onto
the main line railway stations and to key locations
within the West End and City of London. The Company
was also involved in negotiating joint ventures with
major retailers in order to make healthcare services
available on the High Street.
Acting for Medicentre, Proteus subsequently arranged
the sale of the Company to Franbar Holdings Limited.
