Bath & Body Works at the Trafford Shopping Centre, Manchester Bath & Body Works Proteus Architects was appointed to manage the fitting out programme in the UK for Bath & Body Works, a subsidiary of Limited Brands, Inc., a major US fashion and cosmetics retailer. As part of the work we undertook for Bath & Body Works, we advised, together with the agency side of our business, on the suitability of a number of new stores in regional shopping centres around the UK. Following the acquisition of these units, we liaised with the US design team to adapt the detail design as necessary in order to gain UK landlord approvals. We advised the client on all aspects of UK construction practice, including CDM and Planning/Local Authority requirements. We also agreed the rolling programme with the client, contractor and landlords’ representatives and project managed the sites which were fitted out concurrently. We ensured that all the landlords’ conditions had been achieved at completion and that the new stores were ready to open for trade within the agreed time frame.
