Design Implementation
Working from the client’s original concept, Proteus
will develop the design to suit a particular unit within
its planning and building regulation constraints. Proteus
works with the client’s designer to produce all
necessary drawings and specification information in
order to obtain local authority and landlord’s
approvals and competitive tenders. We also negotiate
contract sums with a client’s nominated contractor
and advise on the form of contract.
We have extensive design and fitting out experience
of managing UK retail expansion programmes for major
international retailers.
Project Management
Proteus frequently acts as project manager for fast
track fitting out programmes dealing with all aspects
of a contract including liaison between the client,
professional team and contractor to ensure that projects
are completed on time and within budget.
During the course of the site work, we liaise closely
with the agency side of our Group in order to ensure
that the client can make full use of rent free periods
and any other concessions that might have been negotiated.
CDM
Proteus has considerable experience of all aspects of
Health & Safety having worked on retail projects at
major stations and airports since before CDM regulations
were introduced in 1994.
We have acted as planning supervisors on many major
projects including those in transit locations. This
work involves briefing the client and design team regarding
their responsibilities in relation to Health & Safety,
the preparation of the Pre-Construction Health &
Safety Plan, advice on the appointment of a suitable
principal contractor and ensuring that Health &
Safety files are produced as required on completion
of the project. |
